BROWN BROTHERS® Distribution interview British Touring Car Championship racing driver, Aiden Moffat

Brown Brothers sponsor, Aiden Moffat, is a British Touring Car racing driver and has been for the past few years. Aiden has always excelled within racing, and 2016 was no exception as Aiden had a successful season, finishing his final race of the season in a podium position.
We were fortunate enough to have the chance to chat with Aiden and see how he is feeling with the new racing season only just around the corner!
How are you feeling heading into the new season?
I am feeling very confident heading into the new season, we have done lots of work over the winter and had a strong pre – season testing programme. The car feels great and I’ve learned lots as a driver over the winter, so it will be great to get going again.
Do you feel there is anything different you will do this season compared to last season?
It's hard to say as you can't simply decide for things to be different. Race days pan out based on your team and the car they give you, qualifying, and obviously how I perform. The only real difference for this season will be taking more time in my preparations for each round.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge this season?
I think my biggest challenge will be qualifying. This looks to be the most competitive grid for a long time so qualifying is crucial to a successful weekend, qualifying is my weakest point so this adds a bit of pressure.
What was your favourite moment from the last season?
My favourite moment, without a doubt, is achieving the 2nd place in the final race at Brands Hatch. It was an awesome way to reward everyone for their hard work and a great way to go into the winter break.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in the 2016 season?
The biggest challenge was probably keeping focused and motivated early on in the season. We had a string of horrible luck where we were on the receiving end of bad driving etc and we went three meetings in a row getting next to no points due to this, so trying to keep our heads up and pick ourselves up was a challenge to us all.
